When choosing a hanging rod for your tapestry it is important to make sure that it will hold the tapestry close to the wall. Standard curtain poles will rarely be suitable.
Our rods are a telescopic 15/19mm diameter,black satin finish, metal rod with black fleur-de-lys finials. This rod stands approximately 2cm (¾") off the wall and is recommended for hanging tapestries.
Supplied complete with brackets, rawl plugs, screws and fitting instructions.The finials are 13cm long x 7.5cm high.
Hanging rods are available, in the UK mainland only.
Suitable for tapestries up to 200cm (78¾") wide.
Rods may be reduced in length, if required, with a hacksaw.
Where there is not an option to purchase a hanging rod with a non tab-top tapestry, we recommend that a wooden batten be used to fix the tapestry flush with the wall. Tapestries without tab tops have a tunnel stitched in the lining at the top which may be threaded onto a batten. Battens, approximately 4cm x 1cm are available from any of the larger DIY stores and should be slightly shorter than the tapestry width. The batten should be drilled and screwed at both ends behind the outer edges of the tapestry to achieve a concealed fixing.
