TAPESTRY WALL HANGINGS AND CUSHIONS
Sizes - Wall hanging sizes are quoted drop x width and are measured from the top of the border, where applicable, excluding any tabs. Tapestry product sizes may vary +/-5%.
Colours - Colours shown are as realistic a representation as possible.
Fibre composition - Woven tapestry compositions vary, but are mainly cotton with wool and/or viscose. All wall hangings are lined with 100% cotton. Cushion covers are made from woven tapestry panels and are backed with a co-ordinating plain fabric of similar weight to the front.
Cushion Inners - High quality feather or hollowfibre interiors are available, if required, when delivery is to be made to a United Kingdom address. N.B. When delivery is to an address outside of the UK, the feather interior will be omitted and the price adjusted accordingly. Hanging your tapestry - Tapestries should be hung flush with the wall, and away from direct sunlight. The weight of the tapestry should be supported evenly by a hanging rod or batten.
'Tab-top' tapestries are made to be hung on hanging rods with a decorative finial at each end. Hanging rods, specifically for hanging tapestries, with Fleur-de-Lys finials may be purchased (in the UK only) with individual tapestries where indicated within the main catalogue.
Where there is not an option to purchase a hanging rod with a particular tapestry, we recommend that a wooden batten be used to fix the tapestry flush with the wall.
Tapestries without tab tops have a tunnel stitched in the lining at the top which may be threaded onto a batten. Battens are available from any of the larger DIY stores and should be slightly shorter than the tapestry width. The batten should be drilled and screwed at both ends behind the outer edges of the tapestry to achieve a concealed fixing.
CARE AND CLEANING OF TAPESTRY WALL HANGINGS AND CUSHIONS
We suggest light vacuuming with a hand attachment to remove dust and occasional dry cleaning.
