How To Hang Large Tapestries

We do not recommend Tapestry Hanging Rods for tapestries over 200cm wide

We recommend that a tapestry over 200cm wide is hung flush with the wall. The tunnel in the top of the lining on the back of the tapestry can be threaded onto a batten which should be drilled and screwed at both ends behind the outer edges of the tapestry to achieve a concealed fixing. Battens approximately 4cm x 1 cm are available from any of the larger DIY stores and should be slightly shorter than the tapestry width.

Please note that all tapestries and cushions on this website are finished, woven products and not needlecraft kits.
