William Morris Tapestries & Edward Burne-Jones Tapestries

In 1861, William Morris founded the decorative arts firm of Morris, Marshall, Faulkner & Co. with artists Rossetti, Burne-Jones, Ford Madox Brown and Philip Webb as partners. The aim was that the firm would undertake traditional crafts such as stained glass, metal-work, printed fabrics and carpets. It was gradually extended to include, besides painted windows and mural decoration, furniture, metal and glass wares, cloth and paper wall-hangings, embroideries, jewelery, woven and knotted carpets, silk damasks, and tapestries.
